Mrs. Roma Omid is a civil activist and women rights defender in Herat Province, Afghanistan. She is founder and member of Management Studies Organization (MSO) since its establishment in March-2019. she is member of Advisory board of Herat Female Managers’ Network (HFMN). She was team leader and facilitator USAID-Tetra Tech-promote WLD project.
- As director of management studies organization Mrs. Roma Omid took active part in:
- Implementing the decisions of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors of the organization.
- Facilitate the meetings of the Board of Directors and General Assembly of the organization · Leadership and management of the Executive Board of the organization ·
- Approve the work plans of the deputy executive and general manager of administration and finance of the organization & division duties for them and other employees ·
- The responsibility of setting up, monotheism and providing work reports to all aspects of the Internal or External insertion of the organization, including the General Assembly or Donors, in sectoral agencies and so on (Serious focus on holding donors and submitting reports for the first and second half of each year to the Department and the Ministry of Economic).
- Supervising and take care of the operational affairs of the organization in its project and structural sections. Signing official correspondence, concluding contracts and memoranda, protocols and proper representation of the organization in various national and international programs related to the scope of the organization.
- Ensuring the implementation of all lows, regulation, bills and articles of Statute of organization in any project and non- project activities of the organization and creating the ground for the expansion of transparency and accountability.
- Delegation of work competencies to the Executive Deputy or General Administrative & Financial officer at his/her discretion and while traveling.
- As a member of Member of advisory board of Herat Female Managers Network:
She tried developing the network by cooperation of advisory board and holding meetings.
- In charge of coordinating and leading Herat zone Royesh program:
- Supervising the team and monitoring their activities by using different tools (Weekly Meeting, Using Online Tracker) ·
- Providing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports based on team reports for the central office.
- Supervisory and collecting success stories of community and reporting them to the main office.
- Coordinating between stakeholders (Schools, Education Department of Herat, AWEC, School’s Community Elders, Student’s families) ·
- Filing the documents of the team, schools, and students · Planning and implementing of some events such as Evening with Families, Students Graduation (Event Participant more than 300) ·
- Receiving staff and student’s stationary from procurement manager and distribute between them Monitoring of School’s Royesh Center and updating those ·
- Surveying from all Royesh Families and finding the qualified students for the Royesh scholarship.
- Royesh Curriculum Facilitator Trained: decision making, leadership, Problem-solving through analysis, SelfMotivation, Entrepreneurship, CV writing, job skills, and Interpersonal Skills Making a business plan for young businesswomen (TOP Students of Royesh).
Mrs. Roma Omid holding Master degree in Business Administration from Assam Don Bosco University, India. she also has received a number of short training in a variety of issues related to human-rights, child protection, leadership, teaching methodology. she got BA degree from Education faculty in English literature.
