Accompanying in Difficult Time (Round one)
On 16 March 2020 that ten cases of COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Herat province, for controlling the crises situation, the government quarantined the Herat province and as a result, most of the people faced with the bad economic situation. The MSO decided to conduct a program by the name of the “Accompanying in Difficult Time” to prepare and distribute food packages to 344 needy families in Herat province who have already been surveyed by members and colleagues of the Institute of MSO so that these needy families in the current crisis be supported.
On June 25, 2020, the first food Caravan went to Zanda Jan District with food packages which were consisted of: rice, oil, sugar, and tomato paste and distributed for 60 families with the presence of Mr. Mahdi Rasikh and Mr. Farhad Sharifi the representatives of JRS, Mr. Habibullah Joyanda the representative of work and social affairs, Mr. Atayee mayor of Zanda Jan, and members of MSO. These packages were conveyed and distributed in Zanda Jan in three phases: on June 25, 2020, on July 4, 2020, and on July 5, 2020.
The second caravan of food packages transferred to Karokh District on June 29, 2020. These food packages were distributed to 40 needy families who were surveyed before.
On July 30, 2020 food packages distributed to the people Injil District and 82 poor families who were surveyed before received the packages.
12 families from Gozara District and 150 families from Herat city who had received cards were asked to come to the MSO office and receive their packages.
